Animal Crossing

ceruleanmorningsSo there had been a major patch AND a new DLC release for Animal Crossing New Horizons. Yeah...guess who pre-ordered and then pre-loaded so I can play on release day without the wait of download? I haven't touched the game for a while because of lack of content. Well, now I'm going to play full steam ahead again. I'm very, very excited. Hmm, maybe I will have to make an Animal Crossing icon for entries devoted to this. More GIMP practice, I guess.
My s.o. and I both have characters on our island. It's cow themed and we named it Wellington, after beef wellington haha. They're not all cows - we only kept the ones we liked best. (Gotta leave room for Raymond, which I probably will never find omg.) Anyway, my s.o. is great at designing islands and houses, and I'm good at upkeep and collecting and cooking and farming and talking to villagers, you know, the play aspect, so it works out pretty well. Until we both got tired of playing. I told him he'll have to sign on now because the DLC requires multiple designs and other tasks before we can get to the good stuff. So yeah, definitely jumping back to playing every day. We only completed two collections so far (because there's a bug that only comes out at like 6 in the morning. Yes, we can time travel, but I really dislike time travel, you know? It defeats the purpose of Animal Crossing for me.) And Jolly Redd comes like once a week if you're lucky and sells way too many fakes. I have yet to get a single real statue in my museum, so to complete that collection seems like it'll take years. At least now we can make him a permanent structure on Harv's Island. Definitely building his stall soon because, uh, yeah, my art gallery is so empty.
Side note, I've bought the collector's edition of FF14 Shadowbringers on sale for like 20 bucks. Unfortunately when I went to play last night I forgot there's like a 10 gig additional download, so I didn't get to play. I will start tonight. Probably first order of business is change my Elezen into a Viera just for kicks. Could be cute.
