Nintendo Direct
February 10th, 2022 16:57So I watched the Nintendo Direct yesterday, and wow, I don't think I've added this many new games (that're addable) to my pre-order wishlist before. So many old remasters and brand new games, a lot I've never heard of before. It's like they've been saving up announcements since late last year. The new Kirby game seems so interesting. I've never played a Kirby game before, but I might just shell out for this one. I'm also torn on whether to buy Chrono Cross or not. Or rebuy, because I've beaten that game 3 times because, well, you have to to get all the characters, so I'm not quite keen on playing it again. But the nostalgia and love - ugh. I sensibly only put it on wishlist. The graphics also looks really janky. I so wish it had a true HD remake, but I think that's asking too much. Plus, does this mean we'll eventually get a sequel of some sort? Will buy that in a heartbeat!
Cuphead finally, finally is releasing their DLC with Ms. Chalice. I want that game. I will never be able to beat that game - me and my husband tried and we couldn't beat the first boss. It's kind of crazy haha. But the aesthetics is so awesome. If only it wasn't this damn hard y'all! I've heard that co-op is actually harder than single player, so maybe I should try it solo and see. Anyway, moving onto other games. There's this weird new Japanese game that only has a trailer in the Japanese Direct, but has an English release, that's kind of like those Command & Conquer games. It's a murder mystery but with live action cutscenes. Almost like a time-traveling Phoenix Wright but in soap-opera style. I'm 100% interested in that haha. Also there's Earthbound 1 for the NES getting released for Nintendo Online, which I pay for just for the game backups. What am I forgetting? Oh, yeah, Triangle Strategy, that my husband doesn't want me to buy because he thinks 60 bucks for pixelated 8-bit game is highway robbery. As opposed to Live A Live, which is a new, old game that's never been released outside of Japan, that might not be as expensive? I'm not sure haha. It also looks interesting, so when it can be pre-ordered I'll put it on my wishlist.
Yeah, a lot of games. Not to even mention Rune Factory 5 coming out in March. And then Two-Point Campus in May. And all that would matter if I'm not currently neck-deep on FF14! Wow. I'm having a pretty bad week of not concentrating - can you blame me, really? Too many distractions!! I just have to resolve to working extra hard, yeah?
